The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) has announced that the 3rd session of the "Innovation-Driven Water Sustainability" Conference will be held from November 25 to 27 in Jeddah, under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. The Conference will bring together a distinguished group of experts, innovators, and researchers, as well as leading entities in the scientific, economic, and innovation sectors, and the water industry from +20 countries.

This new edition of the Conference aims to broaden the horizons and topics to cover various aspects of innovation, technologies, water solutions, and sustainability. It is expected to attract more than 2,000 attendees and feature over 40 participating entities in the accompanying exhibition, in continuation to the success of the previous two sessions, which resulted in numerous initiatives, solutions, scientific projects, and agreements to develop the future of water and sustainability worldwide.

The Conference 3rd session is set to cover new dimensions in innovation and technology, as well as the future of water in light of the rapidly changing global landscape. It will also witness a fierce creative competition among innovators, developers, research centers, universities, and water industry companies, both locally and internationally, to win the Global Prize for Innovation in Water Desalination (GPID), organized by the SWA in partnership with its private sector partners for the second consecutive year.

This session of the Conference discusses the latest global practices and innovative solutions in the water industry, with the participation of +280 experts, scientists, and specialists, who emphasize the pivotal role of innovation in accelerating the future prosperity of water and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals for water and the environment. Through these experts, more than 30 scientific papers will be presented.

For the first time, the Conference will witness the launch of the "Water Hackathon", organized by the Saudi Water Innovation Center in partnership with leading representatives of the water sector in the Kingdom. This event aims to create a global, exciting, and competitive environment that fosters innovation and sustainability among participating teams. The Hackathon will enrich the competitive tracks to develop solutions and technologies tailored to address water challenges, promote collaboration among innovators from around the world, and facilitate the exchange of effective ideas and solutions that anticipate future water challenges and enhance sustainability, water security, and environmental protection.

The Saudi Water Authority announced that the next session of the Conference will honor a group of innovators working in the Kingdom's water sector. This recognition aims to highlight their efforts and contributions in achieving economic, social, or technological value-addition, reflecting the significant role of innovation in improving the quality of life and enhancing water sustainability in the Kingdom.

Through organizing this Conference, the SWA aims to share the impact of innovation in promoting sustainable growth and to highlight the Kingdom's commitment to sustainability as a cornerstone of its vision across all sectors, including the water sector. The SWA seeks to translate this commitment into tangible actions and on-the-ground results that enhance the Kingdom's leadership and position.
