The Saudi Water Authority has intensified its oversight and inspection efforts on water supply service sites and facilities in Mecca region and the Holy Sites. These measures aim to ensure the safety and security of water supplies, enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims during the Hajj season 1445 AH, monitor violations, and ensure the safety and readiness of the systems and feeding and distribution networks for all facilities and camps in the Holy Sites.

The Authority's teams have conducted numerous tours of various water system sites, including sources of production, transportation, and storage across several regions to verify their preparedness and reliability. This ensures the provision of high-quality water.

These tours involved visiting water service beneficiaries in camps, government agency centres, and service sectors, ensuring the readiness of all types of water networks (drinking water, cooling water, fire-fighting water, toilets, wastewater), and detecting and addressing any violations of water system regulations.

So far, the Authority has conducted over 25 daily inspection tours, aiming to reach 300 tours by the end of the Hajj season, facilitated by more than 12 teams and 30 inspectors and monitors to ensure the smooth operation of services.

These tours are part of the approved operational plan for the water system, designed to improve the quality of services for pilgrims, ensure the infrastructure's readiness, and maintain effective supply, transport, storage, and distribution chains.

The Authority confirms it will continue its inspections continuously through its personnel and in coordination with relevant authorities, emphasizing the readiness of all sectors to support the Hajj season and serve the pilgrims.
