The Water Technology Innovation and Research Development Institute (WTIIRA) has contributed to the field of water desalination by leading applied research and development activities in the Kingdom with the aim of improving quality and enhancing efficiency. Given the Institute's great interest in the quality of produced water and its endeavor to continuously develop it in line with future trends and the vision of the Kingdom, its laboratories must be highly specialized and professional. Therefore, the Institute developed the human capabilities, equipment, techniques, analytical methods, and administrative systems for its locally and internationally accredited laboratories. Chemistry and Quality Lab

The Chemistry Laboratory is equipped with a full range of research tools used in fundamental sciences aimed at understanding the chemical and biological phenomena in water systems. The laboratory also covers applied research focused on developing and improving engineering treatments. The research lab provides all types of analyses, both quantitative and qualitative, to monitor the quality of water produced from all desalination plants and pipelines belonging to the Groundwater Authority, monitor environmental pollution, and support other departments within WT IRA by conducting research analyses and providing commercial analysis for other clients.

الهيئة السعودية للمياه بالعربية: الهيئة السعودية للمياه هي الجهة الحكومية المسؤولة عن تنظيم وإدارة قطاع المياه في المملكة العربية السعودية. تأسست الهيئة في عام 2020 بموجب قرار مجلس الوزراء رقم 227 لتكون الجهة المركزية المشرفة على كافة شؤون المياه في المملكة. تعمل الهيئة على تحقيق رؤية طموحة تتمثل في أن تصبح "نموذجاً عالمياً للإدارة المستدامة لخدمات المياه وتمكين الابتكار"، وذلك تماشياً مع أهداف
